How to Deal with a Forced Cost of Living Crisis ~ Mental Health
Mental Health
The situation -
There is no getting away from the facts of this current reality, that being money affects mental health and mental health affects income. According to a YouGov poll 59% of UK adults said the cost-of-living crisis has a negative impact on their mantal health. 1 in 5 (21%) are unable to cope with rising costs. Nearly 9 million people say they dread opening post from energy companies, banks, and other creditors. It is reported suicide is 3 times more likely to happen when a person has debt problems.
The cost-of-living crisis has put so much focus on money. Money worries can cause anxiety and make already pre-existing mental health issues much worse. An inability to pay bills or meet financial obligations and personal needs can lead to shame and embracement. Not knowing where to go for help, support or advice may lead to feelings of overwhelm. It can also lead feeling out of control or out of your depth.
A lack of money can lead to isolation. It can leave us feeling frustrated. It can leave us with low confidence, low self-esteem, and low self-worth. When we retreat from society it can make us feel even worse.
Clic is a free UK based online resource that aims to support everyone with their mental health. It is a place of upliftment and encouragement and provides mental health support and information.
During periods of stress, it is very normal to have trouble sleeping as a result. You may find it takes longer to get to sleep, that your mind is racing or jumping. Your quality of sleep may be disturbed. You might even experience insomnia. Rethink Mental Illness has plenty of advice available on this topic. https://www.rethink.org/advice-and-information/living-with-mental-illness/wellbeing-physical-health/how-can-i-improve-my-sleep/
I also have a free resource for sleep on my website nayalla.com and a free EFT Tapping video for insomnia and sleep issues, available on YouTube too, if you want to check that out!
It's a place for support with mental health, and spirituality.
You can email me nayalla@yahoo.com for the link, or for more information or reach out via my website.

The current reality we find ourselves in is a very mental focused realm. I often say much of humanity are top heavy energetically. There is lots of mental activity and we attempt to solve issues from that place. Yet if we were to drop into our heart and are gut more and use them all together, we would create much better outcomes for ourselves.
Mental health includes our social, psychological, and emotional well-being. It has a huge impact on how we think, feel and act.
Our mental health relates to how we deal with and handle stress, how we connect, communicate and socialise with others, and how we make choices.
The current issues humanity face are connected to the way we have been taught not to prioritise our needs, to not listen to our body, and to not listen to our gut.
Healing -
We need to be kinder to ourselves and others. Our words energetically influence our lives.
We all need to find ways that work for our own individual needs when it comes to mental health.
We also need to change the way we live our day to day lives. The amount of stress we are living with is not only impacting our mental health but also our physical health too.
